Web Designer & Developer (Squarespace)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and creative Squarespace Designer & Developer to build a complete, visually strong, and SEO-optimized website for our coaching and personal brand. This is a project-based role to start, focused on delivering a 10+ page site, with potential for ongoing work if the collaboration is a good fit.

You’ll work closely with our team to translate brand messaging, visuals, and program offers into a polished, high-performing Squarespace site. You’ll also have the opportunity to refresh or evolve brand elements if you have visual design experience.

Scope of Work

- Design and build a full website on Squarespace, starting from scratch or with a custom template with 10+ pages, including:

- Home, About, Services, Contact, Lead Magnet/Freebie Page, Blog, Testimonials

- Multiple internal program pages (3–5 programs with unique sections)

- Optional: Thank You or Confirmation Pages, Resources Page, etc.

- Collaborate on layout, page flow, user experience, and calls to action

- Ensure a responsive design that looks polished on desktop, tablet, and mobile

- Implement advanced SEO best practices (meta tags, clean URL structure, headers, performance optimization, alt text)

- Integrate core features such as contact forms, lead magnet opt-ins, email signup flows, and blog or resource sections

- Upload provided content and visuals, and structure each page to support brand goals

- Bonus: Refresh or optimize our brand visuals, refine brand color palette, font pairings, layout rules, or logo touchups if you have branding experience

Preferred Skills

- Proven experience designing and building Squarespace websites

- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and site performance

- Confident with layout, spacing, typography, and modern branding

- Experience with coaching, consulting, or personal brand sites is a plus

- Bonus: experience with brand identity, logo design, or visual refresh

Project Budget

Project-based rate: $500 USD; rate varies depending on your experience and ability to support branding and SEO

Rate covers full site build and launch

Possibility for ongoing support or monthly retainer for maintenance, landing pages, and blog updates after launch
