The Nabo Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Associate to manage the financial records and accounting operations of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance of bank feeds.
- Daily coding of transactions to proper GLs and related research.
- Responsible for maintaining rules for transactions and other methods of creating efficiency for posting a large batch of transactions each day.
- Weekly activities will include posting and paying invoices.
- Monthly activities include bank reconciliation, ledger tie outs, journal entry postings, inter-company billing, and performing other duties to close the books each month.
- Analyze financial results and post information into monthly reports for the Executive Team.
- Regular preparation of relevant management reports, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
- Preparation of the annual budget for multiple companies.
- Support in opening and closing bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts.
- Will be part of the Financial Team and work collaboratively with tea
- Prepare written reports to accompany financial data.
- Must be able to analyze data, problems, and issues, formulate solutions, and execute resolutions. The Accounting Associate must have at least an intermediate understanding of cash and accrual accounting principles.
- Willing to learn new software.
- Performs other duties assigned to the Accounting Associate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferable.
- 3–5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles.
- CINC experience is a plus
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Proficient in QuickBooks.
- Must be well organized and a self-starter.
- Detail-oriented, professional attitude, and reliable.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, GAAP principle, , documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Working Conditions:
- This is a fully remote position — work from anywhere.
- Must be available to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours, Monday – Friday.
- Use of Hubstaff time-tracking software is required during working hours.
