Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Web Developer - CRO Expert to join our team. This dual-focus role is critical for driving measurable business growth by combining deep technical development expertise with a strategic, data-driven approach to Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development and technical execution of our A/B testing and personalization programs, ensuring our digital platforms are fast, stable, and optimized for maximum conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Development & Implementation
• A/B Test Development: Lead the end-to-end development, coding, and technical deployment of complex A/B tests, multivariate tests, and personalization campaigns using platforms like Optimizely, VWO, or Google Optimize.
• Front-End Expertise: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code (HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript/ES6+) to create high-quality, mobile-responsive, and pixel-perfect test variations.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure all experiments and website changes maintain high performance, accessibility, and adherence to web development best practices and Core Web Vitals.
• Integrations & Troubleshooting: Configure and troubleshoot analytics tracking (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) and testing platform integrations to ensure accurate data collection.
• Code Review & Mentorship: Conduct code reviews for tea
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Strategy
• Hypothesis Generation: Collaborate with the Marketing, UX/UI, and Product teams to generate data-backed hypotheses for high-impact tests based on quantitative (analytics) and qualitative (user research, heatmaps, session recordings) data.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the overall CRO roadmap and experimentation strategy, prioritizing tests based on potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with business KPIs.
• Data Analysis: Work closely with the analytics team to interpret test results, understand statistical significance, and translate complex data into clear, actionable development and design recommendations.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of all experiments, results, and learnings to inform future product development and optimization efforts.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development, with 3+ years specifically focused on Conversion Rate Optimization, A/B testing, and experimentation.
• Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like Sass/Less), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Testing Platforms: Proven, hands-on experience using a major A/B testing platform (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target).
• Web Analytics: Strong proficiency with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics) and Tag Management Systems (Google Tag Manager).
• CRO Methodology: Deep understanding of CRO principles, A/B testing methodologies, statistical analysis for testing, and UX/UI best practices.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical and analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with a specific CMS (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Headless CMS) or e-commerce platform.
• Familiarity with back-end languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience conducting and analyzing user research, including surveys, heatmaps, and session replays (e.g., Hotjar, FullStory).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related quantitative field.
