QuickBooks Online Accountant / Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced QuickBooks Online (QBO) Accountant or Bookkeeper to help set up and manage accounting for a Hawaii-based motorcycle and moped business.
This is a project-based setup role that may continue into ongoing monthly support once the initial setup is complete.

Ideal Candidate:
• Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (setup + ongoing bookkeeping)
• Experience with US-based small businesses — Hawaii GET experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Can communicate clearly and meet deadlines independently

Setup Phase (One-Time / Startup/ As Needed):
• QuickBooks Online setup:
- Chart of Accounts
- Initial Budget Input
- Bank Feed Integration
• Process Initial Capital Contributions
• Initial GET (General Excise Tax) Setup and Tracking
• Vendor Setup and W-9 Collection
• Member Distribution Setup

Ongoing / Weekly/ Monthly
• Categorization of Income and Expenses (weekly or monthly)
• Vendor Payment Tracking for 1099s
• GET Tax Filing
• Bank Statement Review
• Member Capital Contributions & Distributions Tracking
• QuickBooks Maintenance (reconciliation, classes, etc.)

Quarterly / Semi-Annual / Year-End

• Bank Reconciliation
• Quarterly Financial Review (optional)
• Final Year-End Categorization
• K-1 Preparation for Members
• 1099 Preparation for Vendors
• Year-End Financial Statement Preparation
