Part-Time Video Editor

Hours: 15–20 per week
Rate: $6-$8 USD/hour (depending on experience)
Turnaround Time: 24–48 hours per project
Location: Remote (Work from Home)

About the Role:

I’m looking for a talented, coachable, and reliable video editor who understand American-style comedy and can deliver clean, engaging, and entertaining edits.

You’ll be editing both comedy sketches and professional brand/commercial videos that will be used on social media (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram).

Most videos will be 1–3 minutes long, and once long-form videos are complete, I’ll also need the same video edited into a vertical version for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.

If you’re great at comedic timing, enjoy fast-paced creative work, and love refining your skills, this could be a long-term fit.


What You’ll Be Doing:

-Edit comedy videos with strong comedic timing (quick cuts, reactions, zooms, etc.)

-Edit brand/commercial-style videos that look professional and clean

-Create short-form edits from long-form YouTube videos

-Follow provided examples and style references

-Add captions, sound effects, transitions, and text as needed

-Deliver videos within 24–48 hours

-Provide unlimited revisions per project until it matches the desired style

-Communicate clearly and consistently throughout the editing process


Requirements:

-Excellent English communication skills

-Strong understanding of American humor and comedic pacing

-Proficient in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve

-Fast and consistent internet connection

-Ability to follow direction and learn quickly

-Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing great work

-Willing to accept feedback and grow with the role


Preferred Experience:

-Edited sketch comedy or character-based content

-Edited social media content for creators or influencers

-Edited commercials or brand campaigns

-Understands pacing, reaction shots, and humor rhythm

You’ll receive:

-The raw clips

-Example videos for style reference


I’ll use this trial to evaluate your editing skill, comedic instinct, and ability to follow direction. Successful editors will continue with consistent weekly projects (10–20 hours per week).
