Web Developer – Behavioral Health IT Website (Freelance / Contract)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Web Developer / Designer to create a new, modern website for our behavioral health technology platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing competitor sites, identifying best-in-class design and content approaches, and building a fully responsive, mobile-friendly site that showcases our software and services.

Responsibilities:

Research and analyze existing behavioral health EHR / IT websites to inform layout, content, and user experience.

Design and develop a new, responsive website (desktop, tablet, and mobile optimized).

Create original copy, visuals, and stock images aligned with our brand and behavioral health focus.

Implement clean, modern UI/UX with a strong emphasis on clarity, accessibility, and conversion.

Coordinate with our internal team for content review, SEO strategy, and deployment.

Optimize the site for speed, SEO, and usability.

Deliver a fully functional, launch-ready site (WordPress, Next.js + Tailwind, or comparable framework).

Qualifications:

Proven experience designing and building websites in the healthcare or behavioral health technology space.

Portfolio of similar healthcare or SaaS websites (please include links).

Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.

Experience developing sites with modern frameworks (e.g., Next.js, React, Tailwind, or WordPress).

Ability to generate compelling copy and visuals independently.

Familiarity with healthcare terminology, EHR systems, and patient engagement tools a plus.

Preferred Skills:

SEO best practices

UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)

Knowledge of behavioral health workflows, patient portals, or telehealth systems
