Local SEO Specialist (Technical)

Run comprehensive crawls in Screaming Frog (and related tools) to identify technical issues: status codes, redirects, canonicalization, indexability, pagination, duplicate content, thin content, metadata gaps, hreflang, structured data, internal linking, and XML sitemaps.

Implement technical SEO fixes in CMS or through dev tickets: site speed/Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, image optimization, JS/CSS minification, schema markup, robots.txt and noindex rules, canonical tags, and crawl budget improvements.
Monitor and report on technical health: track index coverage, Core Web Vitals, crawl errors, and rankings impact via GSC, GA4, and third-party tools.

Build and maintain technical SEO audit documents, QA changes, and validate implementations.

Collaborate with developers and content teams to ensure scalable, SEO-friendly site architecture.

Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of agency experience focused on lead-generation websites (e.g., construction, home renovations, roofing, HVAC).
Proven hands-on expertise with Screaming Frog (custom extraction, API integrations, JavaScript rendering, crawl segmentation).
Availability during Canadian business hours (EST), 40 hours per week.

Assets:
Experience with GoHighLevel, Pabbly Connect, and Canva for workflow and reporting.
CTR manipulation experience (ethical testing frameworks and safeguards).
Experience with AI automations related to SEO (GEO/AEO), including schema generation, internal linking, and audit accelerators.
Familiarity with log file analysis (Screaming Frog Log File Analyzer or equivalent), server configurations, and CWV tooling (PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse).
