Senior UK Accountant

Envision Accountancy Ltd is a small but growing UK-based practice and we’re hiring a full-time, work-from-home accountant who can handle end-to-end small-practice work. You’ll manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Capium and Xero (including bank reconciliations, AP/AR, journals and fixed assets), prepare and submit VAT returns under MTD, draft and file CT600s with computations and iXBRL, produce year-end micro and small company accounts under FRS 105/FRS 102(1A), run monthly payroll with RTI, administer auto-enrolment pensions (e.g., NEST), and complete directors’ and sole traders’ Self Assessment returns. You’ll also take care of Companies House filings such as confirmation statements and basic company secretarial updates, handle P11D/P60 year-end processes, and, where relevant, support CIS, management accounts and cash-flow work. We value clear client communication, deadline discipline, quality working papers, and adherence to AML/KYC and GDPR, with the ability to provide practical first-line tax advice and escalate complex matters for review.

We’re looking for someone with solid UK practice experience, confident client-facing skills, and hands-on proficiency with Capium and Xero (familiarity with tools like Dext/Hubdoc, Client Engager, GoCardless, HMRC and Companies House portals is helpful). AAT/ACCA/ACA—qualified, part-qualified, or QBE with a proven track record—are all welcome. You must have the right to work in the UK and a reliable homeworking setup. Sector exposure across property, hospitality or e-commerce is a plus, as are Xero/Capium certifications.
