Job Posting: Contract Video Editor & Content Repurposer (Personal Brand YouTube Channel)
About the Role:
I am looking for a talented and creative video editor to partner with on a contract basis for my personal brand YouTube channel. The content is a mix of vlogs and podcast interviews, and I'm seeking a collaborator who can bring a professional and engaging style to the final product. The content focuses on vlogs and podcast interviews related to Thailand expat lifestyle, tech, wellness, and entrepreneurship)
This is an ongoing role with a consistent workflow, starting with a minimum of 4+ long-form videos per month (average length 30-60 minutes).
A key part of this position involves not just long-form editing, but also creating compelling thumbnails and strategically repurposing content for short-form platforms (TikTok/IG Reels). I am very open to and encourage your creative input on how to best tell the story and grow the channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Long-Form Editing: Edit 4+ videos per month (30-60 mins) to a high standard, focusing on clear storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
- Thumbnail Creation: Design engaging, high-click-through-rate (CTR) thumbnails for each YouTube video.
- Content Repurposing: Efficiently identify and edit the most engaging clips from long-form content into dynamic, platform-native short-form videos (TikToks, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts).
Creative Integration:
- Source and integrate relevant stock footage and B-roll to enhance the narrative.
- Integrate provided intro footage, pairing it with good, engaging music.
- Incorporate provided graphics, such as lower thirds for additional context or trivia.
- Technical Polish: Apply seamless transitions, color correction, and audio mixing (leveling, noise reduction) for a clean and professional viewing experience.
Requirements:
A strong portfolio is required. Please provide examples of:
Long-form "talking head," vlog, or podcast-style editing.
Short-form content (TikTok/Reels) repurposed from long-form.
Examples of YouTube thumbnails you have designed.
Proficiency in professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
A keen eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and current social media trends.
Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
