JOB OVERVIEW

We are a fast-growing startup helping students find, buy, sell, and rate housing near college campuses — and we’re looking for a talented and experienced SEO Specialist to join our team full-time (40 hours per week).

You’ll play a key role in driving organic growth for Find My Place as we expand into new markets across the U.S., executing keyword research, content optimization, technical improvements, and strategic SEO initiatives that help students discover and engage with our platform.

We’re looking for hungry, driven individuals who want to sharpen their skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and help scale a product that’s transforming how students find housing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A LOT of content writing, with proven processes. The bulk of your time will be spent writing, editing, and publishing content.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-potential opportunities.
- Perform competitor analysis to uncover gaps and areas to win traffic.
- Optimize blog posts and landing pages using on-page SEO best practices and optimization tools (e.g., NeuronWriter).
- Write high-converting, SEO-optimized content.
- Manage and execute technical SEO improvements as needed (e.g., schema updates, metadata, internal linking).
- Collaborate with our internal marketing and product teams to implement SEO strategies that improve visibility and user acquisition.
- Stay updated with SEO trends and Google algorithm changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in SEO: keyword research, content optimization, and technical on-page factors.
- Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, internal linking, site structure, and schema markup.
- Experience with tools like Ahrefs, NeuronWriter, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
- EXCELLENT written English and content creation skills.
- Ability to manage time and work independently across multiple projects.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or freelance acceptable)
- Strong English writing and communication skills are a MUST— if your application contains typos or grammar issues, you will not be considered

PREFERRED SKILLS (Optional):
- Experience with WordPress.
- Familiarity with student housing, real estate, or multi-market SEO a plus.

Hours:
Full-time: 40 hours/week

Wage:
The first month will be a trial month, at $5.00 USD/hr ($800 USD). If it is still a good fit and I feel you are a worthwhile candidate to continue working with, the wage will increase to $6.00 USD/hr ($960 USD), and continue upward as trust and output increase.

HOW TO RESPOND:
1. Reply to this job posting with a link to your resume and an example of SEO work you have done, or results delivered to other clients.
2. (Optional but encouraged) Record and attach a short Loom video introducing yourself and explaining why you’re a great fit.
3. Include the word “banana” in your response. Why? This lets us see who is actually paying attention.
