Cabinetry Designer / Draftsperson (Pre-Production Department)

We are seeking a Cabinetry Designer / Draftsperson to join our Pre-Production Department. This role combines creative design skills with technical precision to produce detailed shop drawings, elevations, and 3D layouts ready for manufacturing. The ideal candidate understands both design aesthetics and the practical aspects of cabinet construction and materials used in production.

Key Responsibilities
-Prepare accurate cabinet layouts, elevations, and shop drawings using software such as Mozaik, 2020 Design, Coohom, and AutoCAD.
-Review architectural or client drawings and translate them into production-ready documentation.
-Apply solid knowledge of cabinet construction methods — frameless, face-frame, and custom millwork.
-Understand and specify appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each project (e.g., laminates, veneers, MDF, plywood, solid wood).
-Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure drawings align with manufacturing capabilities.
-Create 3D renderings or presentation visuals for client and internal approvals.
-Collaborate using QQ/Guigui or similar tools to track revisions and communicate project updates.
-Maintain clear and organized drawing files for consistent reference and documentation.

Qualifications

-Proven experience in cabinet or millwork design and drafting.
-Proficient in Mozaik, 2020 Design, Coohom, and AutoCAD.
-Strong understanding of cabinet materials, finishes, and construction standards.
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical drawings.
-Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills
-Familiarity with Cabinet Vision, SketchUp, or other 3D design tools.
-Experience producing cut lists, panel optimization, or CNC-ready outputs.
-Working background in architecture, interior design, or woodworking technology is a plus.
