Overview
We are seeking an experienced MapForce professional to join our data migration team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data transformation workflows between accounting systems, using Altova MapForce as the primary integration environment.
The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency in data mapping and transformation with a solid understanding of accounting data structures (chart of accounts, journals, contacts, invoices, etc). You’ll work closely with our migration specialists and developers to ensure data flows are robust, scalable, and compliant with accounting logic.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and optimise MapForce mappings for end-to-end accounting data migrations.
* Manage schema definitions, XML/CSV parsing, and transformation logic for multiple source and destination systems.
* Identify and resolve data discrepancies through mapping rules and validation frameworks.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate accounting requirements into repeatable data logic.
* Maintain documentation of mapping specifications, test results, and version control.
* Support continuous improvement in migration accuracy, speed, and maintainability.

Essential Skills & Experience
* 3+ years’ experience working with Altova MapForce (designing, debugging, and deploying mappings).
* Strong grasp of data transformation logic, including conditional mapping, lookups, joins, and scripting within MapForce.
* Practical knowledge of accounting principles and financial data models (ledgers, journals, invoices, payments).
* Proficiency with XML, CSV, and SQL.
* Experience integrating or transforming data between accounting or ERP platforms.
* Analytical approach to data validation and reconciliation.
