Adobe Illustrator Professional Vector Designer for Firearm Engraving

About the Job (READ FULLY BEFORE APPLYING)

We’re looking for a highly skilled designer or small team who can help create detailed artwork and outlines for firearm engraving. You’ll be working with reference photos of gun slides, frames, and other parts to design clean vector templates and artwork layouts ready for laser engraving.

We specialize in custom engraved slides and 1911 builds, so accuracy, creativity, and attention to fine detail are absolutely essential.



Your Main Tasks
• Create precise vector outlines of firearm parts (based on provided photos and measurements).
• Design decorative artwork (scrollwork, skulls, geometric, or themed engravings) to fit those outlines.
• Prepare clean, properly layered AI / SVG / DXF files for laser engraving.
• Communicate clearly and follow design feedback for revisions.
• Maintain organized file naming and versioning systems.



Required Skills
• Strong Adobe Illustrator skills (or similar vector software).
• Experience creating precision artwork or templates for engraving, CNC, laser, or similar applications.
• Great English communication skills — written and spoken.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to share/export files quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
• Coachability – willing to learn, improve, and work within our established workflow.


Bonus Skills (not required, but a big plus)
• Experience designing for laser engraving or etching.
• Familiarity with firearms parts (Glocks, 1911s, SIGs, etc.).
• Experience working with U.S. clients.
• Basic knowledge of LightBurn or engraving file prep.
