Character Writer – Social Media (Remote)

We’re looking for a Character Writer to create and manage original personas across social media. This role combines creative storytelling, community building, and social media strategy to bring a unique cosmic horror brand to life.

Responsibilities
- Write and schedule 3–5 social media posts per week across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, etc.)
- Develop and maintain 2–3 consistent character personas with distinct voices and backstories
- Create captions, stories, polls, Q&As, and interactive posts
- Respond to comments and DMs in-character
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and product launches
- Monitor trends and adjust content strategy accordingly
- Build character backstories and lore documents

Requirements
- Deep knowledge of H.P. Lovecraft’s universe and the Cthulhu Mythos
- Strong copywriting and storytelling ability
- Experience in character writing, worldbuilding, or scriptwriting
- Proven social media management experience across multiple platforms
- Understanding of content formats, trends, and engagement tactics
- Ability to balance tone between cosmic horror and relatable comfort
- Strong communication and community engagement skills
- Creative problem-solving with interest in mental health and self-care themes

Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio of social media or narrative writing
- Familiarity with horror or fantasy communities online
- Appreciation for the humor and philosophy behind cosmic horror
