Youtube Channel Manager + General VA

I manage multiple businesses including a growing YouTube channel, and I need someone who can handle a lot of different tasks and learn quickly.

The person will be responsible for managing the YouTube channel operations, hiring and coordinating with freelancers (editors, designers, writers), while sometimes handling general business and my personal tasks.

This role requires someone with a strong eye for quality and excellence. You'll be my right hand in reviewing scripts, evaluating talent, and ensuring everything that goes out meets high standards. I need someone who is obsessive about getting things right, has good instincts for what the market would like to watch, and is an excellent judge of talent and content quality.

This is a full-time position. Do not apply if you have other jobs or clients.

Business Responsibilities
The person should have experience with:
- Video editing - hands-on experience so you can properly evaluate and give feedback to editors we hire
- Hiring and managing freelancers - reviewing portfolios, conducting test projects, spotting talent across different roles (editors, designers, writers)
- Script review and quality control - excellent judgment for what makes compelling content, understanding pacing and storytelling
- Creating lead magnets - designing checklists, free guides, and downloadable resources
- Strong market sense - knows what audiences want, can spot trends, understands what performs well
- Generating AI voiceovers from scripts (ElevenLabs or similar tools)
- YouTube channel management - uploading videos, writing descriptions, optimizing tags, managing comments
- Thumbnail design and review - working with Canva to create or evaluate thumbnail concepts
- Good judge of character - can identify reliable, talented freelancers during hiring
- Working with AI tools - please list all AI tools you've used (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, etc.)
- Research work - on anything, like competitive market analysis, sourcing suppliers, etc.
- Social media content creation and scheduling (can use AI but you should be able to edit it like it was written by a human)
- Basic website updates via CMS (Wordpress, Shopify)

Personal Tasks:
Sometimes I'll need help with my personal tasks such as booking flights and hotels, buying stuff online, booking Grab / Lalamove, calling stores.. General errands.

Big advantage if you have..
- Experience with vidIQ or other YouTube SEO tools
- Photoshop skills for more advanced design work
- Has managed a YouTube channel before
- Portfolio showing your own editing work or content you've managed

Important: I need someone who is detail-oriented, has high standards, and won't let subpar work through. You'll be the quality gatekeeper, so being overly critical and obsessive about excellence is actually what I'm looking for.

I also need someone who responds very fast and can work efficiently across multiple tasks.

Workdays are from Monday to Friday Philippine time, but sometimes I'll need help with time-sensitive tasks like uploading on weekends, since we upload daily. Important is we're on schedule.
