Shopify and Wordpress Designer + Front End Dev

We’re a US-based SEO agency looking for a Shopify and WordPress developer to join our remote team part-time (10–20 hours per week). This role focuses on improving the front-end design and functionality of two existing websites — not full rebuilds, but ongoing theme-based refinements that make the sites cleaner, faster, and more SEO-friendly.

Responsibilities

Update and improve existing Shopify and WordPress sites using current themes.

Customize layouts and sections for mobile and desktop using HTML, CSS, JS, and Liquid.

Make small but impactful front-end changes to improve UX, visuals, and site speed.

Implement SEO-first best practices — fast load times, proper heading structure, schema markup, internal linking, and clean code.

Collaborate with our SEO team to bring design updates that support organic visibility and conversions.

Perform quality assurance to ensure designs look and function perfectly across devices.

Requirements

2+ years experience in Shopify (theme editing, Liquid) and WordPress (We currently use WP Bakery).

Strong front-end development skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).

Solid understanding of SEO-friendly development (page speed, accessibility, structured data).

Good design eye and attention to detail.

Excellent English communication.

Reliable, organized, and responsive during your agreed hours.


Compensation & Details

Hours: 10–20 hours per week (flexible, long-term)

Schedule: Flexible, but some overlap with US/Europe time zones preferred
