Video Editor for Educational Reels & YouTube Shorts (AI + Creator Niche)

About the Role

I’m looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who understands how viral short-form content works — and can help me recreate top-performing Reels and Shorts for my brand.

My content focuses on educational and storytelling videos that teach content creators how to sell and scale with AI.
Your main job is to research, transcribe, and edit viral content — then recreate it using my visuals and voiceovers with the same pacing, style, and energy as the original.

YOU WILL

Find viral Reels and YouTube Shorts (50K+ views minimum) in my niche — AI, digital creators, and online business.

Transcribe the full spoken script.



Once I record my visuals + voiceover, edit and recreate the video using my assets.

Match pacing, captions, text placement, and overall flow.

Keep it clean, minimal, and engaging for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

You do not need to film or design anything yourself.
I provide all visuals, photos, and voiceovers — your focus is editing and content recreation.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Research and analyze 5–10 viral Reels/Shorts per day within the niche.

Transcribe and document findings in a Google Sheet.

Communicate which visuals or short clips I need to film (e.g., talking head, laptop, b-roll).

Edit the final videos to match the structure and energy of the original content.

Ensure smooth pacing, strong hooks, and storytelling clarity.

Maintain consistent formatting across platforms (Reels, Shorts).


REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience editing Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.

Deep understanding of hooks, pacing, and educational storytelling.

Strong command of English for transcription and script formatting.

Skilled in CapCut, Canva Video, or any other video editing tool.

Knowledge of trending formats, fonts, and sound design for short-form videos.

Able to follow creative direction and deliver fast turnarounds.


BONUS SKILLS (Nice to Have)

Understanding of AI tools, content creation, and digital business topics.

Experience repurposing long-form videos into short-form clips.

Interest in storytelling-driven editing (timing, rhythm, emotion).


DELIVERABLES (WEEKLY)

10 viral Reels/Shorts researched and documented (with transcripts).

10 edited Reels/Shorts recreated using my visuals and voiceover.
