Content Creator & Research Assistant (Virtual Assistant)

About the Role
We’re seeking a creative, reliable, and detail-driven Content Creator VA to help bring brand storytelling to life.
You’ll work directly with the founder and her partner to support video production, visual content creation, and topic research. This role blends creativity and structure — perfect for someone who enjoys researching ideas, writing engaging scripts, and producing polished edits that reflect an elegant, natural, and adventurous brand.

Key Responsibilities
1. Research
- Research trending topics related to natural skincare, sustainable living, wellness, and self-reliance.
- Study competitors’ content to identify inspiration and opportunities.
- Generate fresh content ideas that align with brand values of authenticity, simplicity, and craftsmanship.
- Summarize findings in clear, actionable briefs for review.

2. Scripting & Content Planning
- Write scripts for short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
- Draft hooks, captions, and outlines that engage audiences and support marketing goals.
- Organize and present content ideas in Google Docs or Notion.
- Collaborate with the founder and partner to fine-tune voice and delivery.

3. Editing & Visual Content Creation
- Edit videos for social media platforms using CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Design static visuals, infographics, or quote posts in Canva or Photoshop.
- Maintain visual consistency with established brand style (colour palette, fonts, tone).
- Repurpose existing videos into short clips for multiple channels.

4. Performance Review
- Track engagement metrics such as reach, saves, comments, and click-throughs.
- Present short weekly summaries on what content performs best.
- Recommend creative or strategic improvements based on data insights.

Skills & Requirements
- Excellent English writing skills with a natural storytelling tone.
- Proven experience in video editing and design (portfolio or samples required).
- Proficiency with Canva and at least one major video editing tool.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Interest in natural living, wellness, or sustainability is an advantage.
- Reliable internet connection and consistent availability.

Working Hours & Pay
Type: Part-time VA (with potential to grow into full-time).
Hours: 20 hours per week.
Timezone: NZST / PHT overlap preferred for communication.
