Podcast Ninja: Produce, Edit, Upload, and Publish weekly podcast shows

We need a podcast ninja to edit, upload and publish podcast shows to WordPress websites and Weebly blogs.

Applicant must be experienced with following:

Audacity ( Editing audio)
Levelator (Level Audio)
ID3 Tagger (Label mp3 files title, album, etc.)
Canva (Creating basic artwork)
Libsyn (Upload audio)
Wordpress (Upload Episode/ Show notes)
Buffer (Schedule social media posts)

What exactly does the job require?

Step Action:

------ Editing the Audio

1 Open Audacity
2 Click File > Import > Audio
3 Locate and add the standard ILAB intro
4 Click File > Import > Audio
5 Locate and add the main podcast interview audio ( Listen to previous episode to place intro in correctly)
6 Double click and highlight the main interview audio
7 Click Effect > Truncate Silence - Settings should be set to Level: -30db, Duration: 0.3 seconds, Trucate to: 0.1 seconds, Compress: 50%
8 Verify audo by listening to small segments to ensure there are not glitches
9 Click Effect > Compressor - Setting should be set to Threshold: -14dB, Noise Floor -40 dB, Ratio 5:1, Attack Time 0.2 seconds, Release Time 1.0 seconds
10 Verify audo by listening to small segments to ensure there are not glitches
11 Click Effect > Normalize: The first two boxes should be checked and should read -2.0dB
12 Select the introduction conversational audio before Johnny or Sam say " Hey everybody / welcome back"
13 Trim unwanted audio by clicking and dragging the mouse then pressing Delete
13 Select the outro noise after the Host and Guest say " Goodbye"
14 Trim unwanted audio by clicking and dragging the mouse then pressing Delete
15 Listen to epsiode > Fine tune edit imperfections
16 Remove repeatitive um, uh, coughs or studders while keeping a natural flow > Create 10-20 topics and timestamps > Write down 2-3 top quotes from guest speaker
17 Click File > Import > Audio
18 Locate and add the standard ILAB outro ( Liseten to previous episode to place intro in correctly)
19 Click File > Export Audio
20 Rename the file correctly and save it on the desktop
21 Edit Metadata: Fill in Artist name: Sam Marks / Johnny FD Track Title: ie: From $0 to Self Made, How to 300X Your Investment Album Title: Invest Like a Boss Track Number: 23 Year: 2016 Genre: 2016
22 Summarize the episode by writing a 50-75 word copy. Must include the guest name, what they are know for and what they will be discussing during the show. The goal is to entice the reader to want to listen without telling what the entire show is about... I will give you a copy of the book "Cashvertising" to help you write a better copy and better your physcology and selling with titls and ads.

------ Creating the Cover

1 Find a cover photo that represents the guest speaker
2 Go to canva
3 Click " Use Custom Dimentions" and type 1000 x 1000 ( width / height)
4 Click Uploads > Upload Your Own Images
5 Located and add the photo and fit it from corner to corner
6 Click Text > Add Heading
7 Type ILAB XX (XX means add the appropriate episode number)
8 Adjust beetween 80-96 font size and choose the font "Abril Fatface"
9 Change the color to Deep Black to ensure it is not a black shadow color
10 Click "Add Subheading" and type the title of the episode
11 Click Elements > Shapes > Click and add the white box with rounded edges
12 Adjust the shape to fit behind the text and click the checkered box to adjust the transparency
13 Click Uploads > Upload Your Own Images
14 Located and add the Podcast logo photo
15 Organize the entire cover in a creative way thats looks professional an organized
16 Look at cover examples on : investlikeaboss
17 Finished designing? Click Download > Download

------ ID3 Editor - Syncing cover to file

1 Right click over Audio MP3 file you just edited > Open with > ID3 Editor
2 Click Pictures > "Drag your image here" > Update

------ Libsyn - Uploading MP3

1 Go to libsyn
2 Content > Add new episode > + Add media file > Upload from hard drive > Select file
3 Add Title* ie, 23: From $0 to Self Made, How to 300X Your Investment
4 Add Subtitle > Copy and paste well written description
5 Add Description > Copy and paste well written description > Add all relevant hyper links
6 Add Thumbnail > Upload new > Choose file
7 Publish > Leave screen up in background ( You'll need the generated links )

------ Post Wordpress Blog

1 Go to investlikeaboss
2 Post > Add new
3 Enter title > ie, ILAB 23 – From $0 to Self Made, How to 300X Your Investment
4 Add media > Select episode cover > Insert into post
5 Edit > Size: Custom size > 540 x 540 > Update
6 Align center > Add quote from guest speaker
7 Enter and underline guest's name below the quote
8 Add episode description > Add action "Listen to ILAB 23 on iTunes here or subscribe on your favorite podcast app."
9 Add media > Select iTunes logo > Edit > Link to: Custom URL /itunes
10 Add media > Select MP3 logo > Edit > Link to: Custom Direct Download URL
11 Add media > Select Custum > PREVIEW/ GET EMBED CODE > Copy and paste below MP3 Logo ie:
12 Add media > Copy Youtube Video link 2 spaces below EMB Code

4 Use Buffer to schedule 2 Twitter quotes throughout the week - Tag the guest speaker and use 3 topic hashtag's

Because I am looking for long-term/full-time help, I will have a test episode for a trail run before joining the Podcast Ninja team 100%. Pay will be 20$ per episode and it should take 2.5 to complete each show. You'll have potential to edit 5 shows a week or $100 per week. If your skill increases we can add more work as we build...
