About Church Admin Inc.

Church Admin Inc. exists to reduce the administrative burden on churches and nonprofits so they can focus on their core mission. We deliver expert support in finance, HR, insurance, compliance, and operations—while also building custom tools that empower staff and leaders across the ministry world.

We're developing an internal Employee Portal to streamline critical workflows such as time-off tracking, benefits management, policy acknowledgments, and more. This portal will serve both our internal team and the church clients we support, with a long-term goal of scaling into a modular platform for broader use.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a full-time Softr Developer to join our team and take ownership of the design, build, and iteration of our custom Employee Portal. You’ll work closely with leadership to translate vision into function—building a scalable, intuitive, and secure platform using Softr + Airtable as the backend.

This role requires both technical expertise in no-code development and a strategic mindset to understand workflow logic, user experience, and phased rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of the Church Admin Employee Portal in Softr, integrating Airtable as the backend
Build and manage multi-role user permissions (admin, manager, staff, client, etc.)
Develop and refine workflows for:
Time-off requests and approval tracking
Benefits selection and status management
Policy acknowledgment and digital signature tracking
HR onboarding and documentation workflows
Support data collection and reporting for internal HR and compliance processes
Assist with QuickBooks Online integration and other APIs or automation as needed
Work alongside our consultant team (e.g., Martech Consulting) during early stages to implement foundational structures and processes
Implement responsive design and intuitive UX for both desktop and mobile access
Maintain data security, access control, and version control best practices

Qualifications
Proven experience building production-level Softr applications
Deep familiarity with Airtable, especially using it as a dynamic backend
Strong understanding of role-based access, workflow logic, and user interface design
Experience working with third-party integrations (e.g., Zapier, Make, QuickBooks Online, eSignature tools)
Strong problem-solving and independent learning skills
Comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving requirements
Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Experience
Prior work in nonprofit or church tech environments
Understanding of HR processes (time off, benefits, compliance, onboarding)
Experience working with phased rollouts and iterative launches
Familiarity with data security and HIPAA/PII best practices for small organizations

Spiritual & Cultural Fit
A growing Christian faith and a heart for serving churches and ministries
Alignment with Church Admin’s mission of stewardship, service, and operational excellence
Willingness to collaborate with diverse teams in a ministry-minded context

Compensation & Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience and skill level
Flexible work hours and remote work setup
Opportunities for growth and leadership as the platform expands

To Apply
Please send your resume and at least one example of a live Softr project or case study you’ve built
