About the Role
We’re looking for a full-time Accountant to lead and build the Finance Department for a growing hospitality and property group.
You’ll be responsible for setting up and managing all financial processes: from owner payouts through Guesty, to cashflow management, reporting, and automation. This is your chance to take full ownership of the finance function and design it from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations across multiple properties.
- Manage owner payouts through Guesty, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
- Build, document, and refine financial systems, processes, and reporting workflows.
- Handle bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monthly close for all entities.
- Prepare P&L statements, forecasts, and cashflow reports.
- Manage supplier invoices, contractor payments, and payroll.
- Ensure full ATO compliance, including BAS, GST, and superannuation obligations.
- Integrate and automate reporting using Guesty, Xero, and Google Sheets.
- Work closely with leadership to provide insights, recommendations, and financial strategy.
- Establish internal controls and performance dashboards for scalable growth.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally within hospitality or property.
- Strong proficiency in Guesty PMS, especially owner statements and payouts.
- Skilled in Xero, Google Sheets, and financial reporting automation.
- Strong systems mindset — able to build processes from scratch and streamline inefficiencies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
- CPA or CA qualification preferred but not required.
