About the Role

I’m looking for a highly experienced video editor who works exclusively in DaVinci Resolve (no Premiere Pro or Final Cut).
You must have 5+ years of professional editing experience and a strong understanding of proxy workflows — I’ll upload low-resolution proxy files, and you’ll complete full edits, including:

Cutting, trimming, and transitions

Sound design and audio layering

Stabilization and effects (if needed)

Titles and motion graphics

Color correction & cinematic color grading

Exporting / re-uploading the .DRP project file for me to render in full quality

Type of Videos You’ll Work On

You’ll edit content that ranges from simple recap reels to full-story productions:

Event recap videos (portrait & landscape)

Wedding highlights & full ceremony edits

Documentary-style videos with interviews & B-roll

Church & nonprofit videos

Corporate / promotional highlights

My clients expect high-end storytelling — every edit should have emotional flow, rhythm, and visual impact. I need an editor who can make viewers feel something, not just cut clips together.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years professional experience in DaVinci Resolve
Deep understanding of proxy workflows
Excellent color grading and sound design skills
Fast and reliable internet connection
Fluent in English (spoken & written)
Organized file structure and clean project management
Ability to meet deadlines with consistency
Creative eye and passion for storytelling

Test & Interview Process

This is a serious creative position — you’ll go through 2 rounds before selection:

Round 1 — Test Edit (Unpaid)

You’ll receive sample proxy clips to create a 30-second highlight video.
Your delivery must include a properly organized project folder with:

If you’re not comfortable doing a free sample edit, this position isn’t the right fit.

Round 2 — Workflow Review

Record a screen-share video (under 10 minutes) explaining your edit.
Show how you:

Organized the project & timeline

Built the story, transitions, and pacing

Managed color correction & sound design

Set up delivery/export workflows

This helps me evaluate your editing style, creativity, and knowledge of DaVinci Resolve.

Compensation

???? Rate: $100–200 USD per week (depending on experience & workload)
