JOB OVERVIEW

The Back 40 is an Australian heritage apparel brand that celebrates the country’s rural heart, the dust, the work, the mateship, and the stories that shape who we are.

We make rugged, timeless gear inspired by real Australian life, farmers, tradies, truckies, fishos, and rodeo riders. Every design we produce carries the same authenticity and pride that built this country.

We’re now looking for a talented graphic designer (based in the Philippines) to help us turn our creative ideas into print-ready apparel designs.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with our Project Manager and Creative Director (that’s the founder) to:

Take sketches, ideas, or concept images and turn them into clean, production-ready vector artwork

Prepare apparel print files (AI, PDF, SVG, PNG) for screen printing, embroidery, and sublimation

Keep designs on-brand with The Back 40’s rugged, vintage-inspired look

Create mockups for internal review and manufacturer previews

Organize and label files properly for production

You’ll Be Working On

T-shirt, hoodie, and work shirt graphics

Collection logos (e.g. Rodeo Series, Truckers Line, Fishing Edition)

Tag and label artwork

Packaging and decals (as needed)

Requirements

Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop a plus)

Experience preparing apparel print files (screen print, DTG, embroidery, or sublimation)

Ability to work with transparent A1 vector files

Clean file organization and communication

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow brand direction

Nice to Have

Experience with heritage, western, or outdoor brands

Knowledge of Australian rural or country lifestyle aesthetics

Ability to prepare mockups on apparel templates
