Job Title: CPA Controller | Bookkeeping, Accounting & Nonprofit Finance Officer | US Accounting

Description:
We are looking to hire a CPA Controller to support our growing nonprofit organization. The role will cover financial bookkeeping, accounting, and nonprofit financial officer duties. A background in CPA, CFA, or CFO-level responsibilities is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will be:

- A CPA with strong accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Familiar with US accounting standards (GAAP, nonprofit compliance, fund tracking)
- Experienced in nonprofit or fund-based accounting (preferred)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to ensure compliance with reporting requirements
- Skilled in preparing monthly reports, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Comfortable coordinating with leadership on budgets and financial planning

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Track nonprofit funding, grants, and expenses
- Maintain compliance with US accounting standards
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audits
- Work closely with management to provide financial oversight

Qualifications:

- CPA license required (CFA or CFO background is a plus)
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online, Excel/Google Sheets
- Prior nonprofit accounting experience is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Compensation:

- Starting at $1,600 per month (depending on experience)
- Opportunity for growth and increased pay as responsibilities expand
