Shopify Developer (Multi-Brand eCommerce Portfolio)

Launch Vector is a fast-growing eCommerce portfolio company that acquires and operates multiple Shopify-based brands across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and wellness. We manage every aspect of brand growth — from creative and marketing to development and performance optimization.

We’re looking for a skilled Shopify Developer to support ongoing projects across our portfolio. This person will play a key role in building, optimizing, and maintaining our Shopify storefronts — ensuring each site runs flawlessly, converts efficiently, and delivers a best-in-class customer experience.

Role Overview

You’ll work closely with our marketing, design, and operations teams to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and execute performance-driven optimizations. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Shopify’s Liquid framework, front-end development, and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain custom Shopify themes from scratch or adapt existing ones across multiple brand stores.

Implement custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid) to enhance landing pages, product pages, and checkout flows.

Configure and integrate third-party apps as needed (subscriptions, upsells, reviews, fulfillment, etc.).

Set up and manage advanced site functions:

Subscriptions (Recharge, Skio, etc.)

Slide carts, upsells, and custom product bundles

Dynamic product recommendations and conditional logic

Execute A/B tests and CRO-focused updates to continuously improve conversion performance.

Troubleshoot and fix bugs efficiently across multiple Shopify stores.

Collaborate with internal teams (design, growth, operations) to implement new features and design updates.

Ensure high performance and responsiveness across all devices and browsers.

Optimize for SEO and site speed, including image compression, lazy loading, and minimizing code bloat.

Perform CRO audits and implement optimizations to improve user experience and conversion rates.

Manage site launches, redirects, and data migration between stores when needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Shopify Developer (3+ years preferred).

Deep knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive front-end design.

Experience with Shopify APIs, metafields, and dynamic data customization.

Familiarity with Shopify Plus, custom checkout configurations, and complex store setups.

Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.

Experience with third-party integrations (Recharge, Klaviyo, Loox, Postscript, etc.).

Familiarity with Git, version control, and staging workflows.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with a focus on clean, scalable code and reliable site performance.

Preferred Skills

Experience working on multi-brand or high-volume Shopify portfolios.

Knowledge of headless Shopify (Hydrogen/React) or API-driven storefronts.

Familiarity with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and A/B testing tools (Google Optimize, Convert, etc.).

Understanding of Shopify scripts and checkout customization.
