JOB OVERVIEW

Company: Predilo (U.S. startup – remote)
Commitment: 20 hours/week for 2-3 weeks (initial Proof of Concept, with potential for multi-month extension)

Why This Role Matters
We’re kicking off our Proof of Concept (PoC) focused on automating annual report filings for the state of Michigan.
To do that right, we need a compliance subject matter expert who understands what’s required for small business filings — those corporate returns that confirm a company’s ongoing status each year.
You’ll work alongside our software engineers to translate filing rules, forms, and requirements into logic our system can automate.

What You’ll Do
Research and document state-level annual filing requirements, starting with Michigan.
Break down each step: what data is required, what forms are used, and what confirmations or fees are involved.
Help define data mappings (e.g., how company data fields align with form inputs).
Collaborate with developers to make the process automation-friendly and auditable.
Review the generated filings to ensure accuracy and compliance before submission simulation.

Requirements
Strong understanding of U.S. business entity compliance (LLCs, corporations, etc.).
Hands-on experience helping small to medium-sized businesses with annual reports, franchise tax filings, or corporate renewals.
Ability to interpret state instructions, forms, and filing portals.
Excellent documentation and communication skills — able to clearly explain compliance logic to non-accountants.

Nice to Have
Comfortable working with engineers and product teams to translate requirements into structured formats.
Experience across multiple states’ compliance systems (especially MI, CA, NY, TX, FL).
Familiarity with SOS (Secretary of State) portals or registered agent workflows.
Background in accounting, legal compliance, or business registration services.
Comfortable reviewing generated data outputs or PDFs for accuracy.

What We Offer
Remote, flexible work hours (U.S. or similar time zones preferred).
Short-term project (4–6 weeks) with potential for longer-term collaboration.
Opportunity to shape an early-stage product that could become the TurboTax of business compliance.
