About the Role
Position: Pricing Analyst
Location: Remote
Pay: $6/hour start
Type: Full-time (Easter Time)
We manage a growing portfolio of vacation rentals and are looking for someone to take full ownership of our pricing strategy. Every night is a perishable asset, and your challenge will be to optimize both occupancy and revenue using data, logic, and high-level problem solving. In this role, you will begin by analyzing live market trends, evaluating booking performance, and making smart overrides in PriceLabs. You’ll work directly under the cofounder to learn the logic behind our pricing model and eventually take the lead on pricing decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Short-Term Focus:
• Analyze occupancy vs price curves and booking pacing data
• Review channel performance and revenue tradeoffs based on time to arrival
• Adjust PriceLabs inputs (base price, seasonality, custom rules, pacing overrides)
• Build and update pricing dashboards for internal and owner reporting
• Identify opportunities for yield improvement across the portfolio
Long-Term Growth Path:
• Build predictive models and tools for demand forecasting
• Design and test new pricing strategies at scale
• Automate manual decision points in our pricing workflow
• Train and lead a pricing team to scale outputs company-wide
What We’re Looking For
• Strong background in data science, statistics, applied mathematics, or similar
• Logical thinker who thrives in data-heavy environments
• Experience with modeling, forecasting, or machine learning is a strong plus
• Strong sense of probability, tradeoffs, and decision-making under uncertainty
• Confident working with real-world, imperfect data
• Clear communicator who can turn analysis into action
• Bonus if you have experience in revenue management, STR pricing, or related fields
• Self-starter who is hungry to grow into a leadership role over time
