JOB OVERVIEW

I run a property development company and I am looking to hire someone who is capable and has a passion for numbers and attention to detail. I’m looking for someone who can take over the following activities so I can focus my time on growing the business.

I’m looking for a bookkeeper that can do the following

- Contact consultants to get quotes for different services for inclusion in a project financial feasibility
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts initially based on quotes but updated with actual costs
- Compile invoices from contractors, file and set up payment in the designated bank account for authorisation
- Help with simple requests for information from lawyers and accountants
- Prepare BAS statements
- Maintain good financial records which can be passed onto the accountant for tax preparation
- We will meet weekly to discuss our cash position for each project

What I expect from you

- BA/BS in Accounting
- The ability to get quotes from a minimum of 3 contractors based on criteria I give you
- The ability to use Google apps effectively (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)
- The ability to prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good reporting skills
- The ability to work independently and find solutions to problems
- Fast and stable internet connection
- Excellent people skills
- The desire to grow, learn and be part of something big
- The willingness to take responsibility if you make a mistake and figure out how to put it right
