JOB OVERVIEW

Hello hello

We want the best of the best!

We are ready to commit immediately. Build a desktop-first project-management style data-entry app on Dataverse with dynamic forms and bulk spreadsheet-style input, feeding our analytics (Power BI). We already have a Canvas app + fields started; you’ll onboard to our schema, standards, and environment, then drive to a working desktop prototype in 4 weeks.
Phase 2 (later): mobile UX, offline patterns, API integrations.

Reporting
Report to Rachel (Project Manager); product owner is Hank (Director). Daily collaboration in Microsoft Teams.

Scope (Sprint 1)

- Finalize Dataverse schema (Projects, Activities/Work Orders, Locations, Contractors, Costs, Files/Photos)
- Model-Driven app for admin/back-office stewardship
- Canvas app (desktop-first): conditional required fields, dependent lookups, bulk add/edit (editable gallery/grid), inline validation & errors
- Excel/CSV import with row-level validation + fix/retry loop
- Power Automate: autonumbering, notifications, SharePoint file handling
- Security roles + Solutions/ALM (Dev/Test/Prod)
- Documentation: schema map, change notes, setup steps, short Looms
- Out of scope for now: mobile/offline, API integrations (planned Phase 2)

Must-Have Skills
- Excellent English and exceptional documentation
- Dataverse + Power Apps (Canvas + Model-Driven) — 5+ recent end-to-end builds
- Power Fx mastery (Patch, ForAll, With, Concurrent, robust error handling & performance)
- Bulk data patterns (editable grids/PCF tactics; import/validation workflows)
- Power Automate (validations, notifications, file ops, data sync)
- ALM/Solutions discipline; environment moves & versioning
- Strong desktop UX instincts (fast, clean, responsive)
- Responsiveness: daily progress posts; quick replies during AEST overlap

(Phase 2)
- API integrations (custom connectors/REST; ERP/Recover/TechOne/Civica), Power BI handoff, mobile/offline patterns, SharePoint file metadata, image/GPS capture.

Deal-Breakers (check before applying)
- I can overlap 3–4+ hrs AEST daily
- I can start immediately and commit 40 hrs/week for 4 weeks
- I have 5+ Dataverse projects (Canvas + Model-Driven) I can show
- I will provide daily progress updates (format below)
- I’m comfortable with NDA + IP assignment

Daily Update Format (required)
Daily Update – [Date]
• Done: …

- Security roles and Solutions/ALM set up (Dev ? Test ? Prod export OK)
- Documentation (schema map, config steps, known limits, short Looms)
- Prototype demo passes review with Rachel (PM)

Security & Compliance
Work in our Microsoft tenant (least-privilege). No customer data stored locally. Use only provided test data. NDA + IP assignment required. Secure workstation, updated OS, private network (no public Wi-Fi without VPN).

How to Apply (applications without these are skipped)
