???? Publishing Manager — Bubble Studios / Morgan Allis Joyworks
Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (Flexible, Remote)
Compensation: Based on experience and consistency
Start Date: Immediate
About Us:
Morgan Allis, a prominent fine artist, is expanding into publishing — creating a diverse collection of poetry and art books, teaching memoirs, wisdom books, and children’s titles through her creative studio, Bubble Studios. Each book is a work of art: soulful, visually stunning, and designed to inspire deep reflection and joy.
We publish through IngramSpark, KDP, and our own print-on-demand (POD) platform, combining artistic excellence with the efficiency of modern self-publishing. Our team is heart-led, detail-oriented, and devoted to bringing magic, art, and truth into tangible form.
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a Publishing Manager to oversee and optimize the full process of book production and distribution — from formatting and layout through upload, proofing, and publication across platforms. This role also involves setting up the publishing system beautifully and efficiently, ensuring every title flows smoothly from creation to release.
Responsibilities:
• Build and refine an efficient publishing workflow system that ensures clarity, quality, and ease across projects.
• Manage book publishing timelines from final design to public release.
• Handle uploads, metadata, and file formatting for IngramSpark, KDP, and our in-house POD store.
• Collaborate with designers and editors to guarantee all files are print-ready and on-brand.
• Perform quality control checks (bleed, spine width, margins, ISBNs, metadata accuracy, and cover specs).
• Maintain a clear organization system for all book files, templates, and assets.
• Track proofs, distribution, and reprints, communicating with printers and platforms when needed.
• Assist with special editions and collector versions (foil covers, art prints, bundles).
Ideal Candidate:
• Deeply organized and system-oriented, with a love for creating streamlined workflows.
• Experienced with IngramSpark, KDP, or similar publishing platforms.
• Comfortable using tools like Canva, Adobe, or Affinity to check layouts and designs.
• Passionate about art, storytelling, and the tactile beauty of books.
• Reliable, communicative, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bonus: Familiar with fine art or spiritual/creative publishing.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
You’ll play a pivotal role in bringing Morgan’s artistic and literary worlds to life — books that merge fine art, poetry, and soul. You’ll help create a publishing system that runs beautifully and efficiently, supporting the flow of creativity while ensuring every detail shines
