JOB OVERVIEW

Wings Insurance, a leading aviation insurance provider in the United States, is looking for a Technical Lead/Full Stack Developer to join our growing remote development team. This is a long-term, full-time independent contractor opportunity for a talented and reliable developer based in the Philippines who is comfortable working with remote teams and contributing to real-world projects.

We’re looking for someone who can serve as the Technical Lead for our web application project: translating business needs into technical solutions, coordinating with U.S.-based teammates and external partners, and delivering high-quality code that drives innovation in the aviation insurance space.

We’re building a modern web application that streamlines internal operations and enhances the policyholder experience.

As the technical lead and developer, you will:

Enhance and extend existing functionality, adding new features, improving performance, and refining the user experience.

Serve as the primary point of contact for this project, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical implementation.

Plan and track deliverables, balancing timelines with scope and quality.

Translate requirements into actionable tasks and execute them in code.

Collaborate with U.S.-based tea ---------- mbers and external partners to integrate systems and improve workflows.

Contribute ideas and creative solutions to enhance usability, scalability, and design.

Front End:

Angular – Organizes the layout and component structure.

Tailwind CSS – Applies clean, scalable styles to the interface.

Back End:

NestJS / Node.js – Powers business logic and third-party API integrations.

Infrastructure:

AWS – Secure, cloud-based hosting and data storage.

Salesforce – Integrated data source (no Salesforce coding required).

All code is stored and maintained in GitHub with version control and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

Key Expectations
Act as project point person, balancing planning, execution, and hands-on development.

Provide clear, proactive communication through weekly progress reports and regular check-ins.

Be available for U.S. business hours meetings with internal and external partners.

Maintain accountability for project milestones and deliverables.

Technical & Professional Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a full stack developer using Angular and Node.js/NestJS.

Strong project execution skills—able to scope, plan, and track deliverables.

Solid front-end, backend API, and cloud infrastructure experience.

Proficiency in Git and collaborative workflows.

Familiarity with AWS services and database management.

Eye for design, UI, and user experience details.

Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet work environment.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Salesforce and its data integrations.

Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, etc.).

UI/UX sensitivity and attention to front-end details.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Work Schedule & Salary

Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time (U.S.)

Location: 100% Remote (Work from Home)

Salary: Competitive – based on experience and qualifications (please include your expected monthly salary in your application)

Note: This is a full-time independent contractor position, not a regular employee role under Philippine labor law. While you’ll technically be self-employed and responsible for your own taxes and government contributions (such as SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG), you’ll work closely with our internal team and be treated as a valued, long-ter ---------- mber of Wings Insurance.
