WordPress & Shopify Web Designer (Creative + Independent Contractor)

About the Role
We are looking for a creative, reliable Web Designer who can take existing templates and turn them into polished, visually engaging websites. You’ll be working with WordPress and Shopify to build two sites using content, imagery, and brand context that we provide.

If you are someone who understands design flow, layout balance, and how to make a site feel complete without constant direction, this is the project for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
· Customize and build 2 websites (1 WordPress + 1 Shopify) using pre-purchased templates
· Apply creative design judgment to make each site cohesive and professional
· Integrate provided content, photos, and brand elements
· Adjust layout, colors, fonts, and sections for visual harmony
· Optimize both desktop and mobile versions
· Deliver functional, visually strong sites with minimal back-and-forth

What We’re Looking For
· Strong experience with WordPress and Shopify
· Solid eye for modern, elegant design
· Ability to take initiative and make creative decisions independently
· Portfolio showing completed projects (template-based work is fine if polished)
· Excellent English communication and reliability
· Fast learner with good design intuition

You’ll Succeed If You
· Don’t need to be hand-held through every section
· Can interpret brand direction and elevate it visually
· Deliver work on time and communicate clearly if issues arise
· Take pride in making templates look custom and high-end
