Social Media Video Content VA (Research + Editing)

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to join our digital marketing team. Your primary role will be to research and analyze video content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) within the insurance, financial, and business niches. You’ll identify trending ideas, formats, and storytelling styles that perform well — then help us plan and produce similar content for our brand.

You’ll assist the founders by:

- Watching and cataloging social media videos from related niches
- Creating organized lists of video ideas and reference clips
- Helping source or coordinate footage when needed
- Editing short-form videos for social media (1:1 and 9:16 formats)
- Adding captions, effects, transitions, and simple graphics to make videos engaging
- Staying updated with current trends and algorithms to improve performance
- We’ll provide direction and creative feedback — you’ll bring consistency, editing skill, and an eye for viral potential.

We are looking for someone that needs MINIMAL direction. You will need to be finding viral videos/ideas all on your own (we will provide the niche/categories to look for), and bringing those ideas to a script so that we can film them. You will then edit the filmed videos we send back to you, and then post to our social media channels. Please don't apply if you need a lot of supervision/check-ins/monitoring. We need someone that is very disciplined in working hard even with no one guiding/managing you every day. This is a long term role that we are looking to have filled for years. You will also need intermediate level video editing skills to match the editing level of other viral videos. We don't expect our videos to go viral, but they need to be high quality, and we are looking to slowly grow a social media following.
