You will:
Lead creative development across multiple short animated episodes.
Write scripts and adapt movie-inspired concepts into the StudyTurtle universe.
Study iconic films (like Blade Runner, Toy Story, Spirited Away, etc.) and craft inspired mini-series that are imaginative, child-friendly, and emotionally rich.
Create basic storyboards and scene outlines to guide the animation team.
Provide daily creative direction and feedback on story, pacing, and character
Collaborate with the animation and editing teams to ensure consistency and tone.
???? Ongoing Responsibilities
1. Episode Writing & Storyboarding
Write engaging 3–5 minute StudyTurtle episodes that blend curiosity, humor, and gentle science.
Create clear, visually driven storyboards or beat boards for each episode (digital format).
Ensure every story has emotional clarity, educational intent, and strong character
2. Mini-Series Development
Conceptualize and script multi-episode story arcs (e.g. 6-episode mini-series, ~30 minutes total).
Break down complex ideas (like empathy, AI, imagination, nature, or science) into kid-friendly adventures.
Maintain narrative continuity and evolving character relationships across episodes.
3. Creative Feedback & Collaboration
Participate in daily or weekly review sessions with the creative director and animation team.
Give and receive constructive feedback to improve pacing, humor, clarity, and educational value.
Revise storyboards or scripts based on team notes and audience testing insights.
4. Quality & Process Improvement
Actively analyze each new episode to identify ways to improve storytelling, emotional rhythm, and animation clarity.
Propose solutions to streamline production — e.g. better shot planning, tighter dialogue, improved transitions, or visual metaphors.
?? Requirements
Strong writing skills — able to write clear, engaging scripts with heart.
Passion for storytelling, children’s media, or animation.
Interest in (or willingness to learn about) sci-fi, philosophical, and educational topics.
Experience creating storyboards or visual storytelling (can be hand-drawn, digital, or AI-assisted).
Comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback daily.
Organized and collaborative — able to work within a small, fast-moving team.
???? Ideal Candidate
Strong storytelling and dialogue skills (especially for short-form animation)
Experience writing for children’s media, edutainment, or family animation
Can adapt deep ideas (like The Matrix’s “reality vs. illusion”) into clear, emotional, funny stories
Understands serialized pacing and character growth
Bonus: Familiarity with The Matrix, Inside Out, or Wall-E
???? About StudyTurtle
StudyTurtle is a warm, curious, and imaginative kids’ edutainment universe blending Pixar-style storytelling with science, humor, and heart.
Our mission is to spark wonder in children ages 4–9 by exploring big questions — “What makes something real?”, “Why do things fall?”, “Where does food go after we eat?” — through the adventures of the Turtle family: Tank, Toby, Luna, and Papa.
We’re now expanding into mini-series and movie-inspired arcs that remix classic stories, science fiction ideas, and moral lessons for young audiences.
???? How to Apply
Please include the following in your application:
A short introduction about yourself and your creative background.
Links or samples of previous work (scripts, storyboards, videos, or writing).
Why you’re interested in working with StudyTurtle and what kind of stories you love to tell.
Write a short paragraph about how you’d adapt The Matrix into the StudyTurtle world.
