JOB OVERVIEW

Marketing Technologist (Web + Analytics) — WordPress Builder, GTM/GA4, WhatConverts

About the role

We’re hiring a hands-on marketing technologist to own end-to-end tracking and build/maintain WordPress websites (most properties), plus light support for one Framer site. You’ll ship reliable analytics/pixels, architect and launch WP sites/landing pages, keep technical SEO & performance solid, and turn data into decisions.

What you’ll do

Tracking & attribution

Own GTM and GA4 (events, conversions, audiences).

Deploy pixels (Meta/LinkedIn/TikTok), ensure UTM/GCLID capture, integrate WhatConverts (forms + dynamic call tracking).

Implement Consent Mode v2 with a CMP/cookie banner; enforce tag governance and QA.

WordPress website building (end-to-end)

Plan, build, and launch WordPress sites: IA/sitemap, theme setup (Block Editor/Gutenberg or a page builder), global styles, reusable patterns, and component library.

Create custom templates and custom post types (ACF or native fields), handle menus, widgets, search, and 404s.

Configure SEO essentials: titles/OG, canonicals, schema (JSON-LD), sitemaps/robots, redirects (including migration 301 maps).

Integrate forms (Gravity Forms / WPForms / CF7) and martech/CRM webhooks (GoHighLevel).

Manage staging ? production deployments; coordinate with hosts (WPE/Kinsta/Cloudways) on caching, CDN, SSL, backups, and security hardening.

Optional: WooCommerce basics (catalog, checkout events) when needed.

Framer support (light)

Maintain tracking, metadata, JSON-LD, and small page updates on a single Framer project.

SEO & performance

Run SEMrush audits and implement fixes; improve Core Web Vitals (LCP/CLS/INP), image optimization, lazy-loading, critical CSS.

Martech ops & reporting

Light dataLayer planning; CRM/webhook handoffs (GoHighLevel).

Build simple Looker Studio dashboards and weekly funnel/source reports.

Document containers, schemas, and playbooks; support lightweight A/B tests.

Must-have skills

WordPress site building from scratch: themes/child themes, Block Editor patterns, page builders (e.g., Elementor) when appropriate, CPT + ACF, safe code snippets, redirects/htaccess, staging/prod workflows.

GTM + GA4 (custom events/parameters, conversions, SPA/History Change awareness).

Pixels for Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok with de-dupe logic and QA.

WhatConverts (forms + number pools) with robust UTM/GCLID persistence.

Consent Mode v2 + CMP wiring and tag governance.

SEMrush (site audits, keyword tracking ? actionable fixes).

GoHighLevel CRM (proficient or willing to learn quickly).

Working knowledge of JSON-LD, canonicals/redirects, and browser DevTools (Network/Console).

Nice to have

WooCommerce tracking (add-to-cart/checkout/purchase), server-side tagging (GTM-SS).

Performance stack: object caching, CDN rules, critical CSS.

Git, WP-CLI, premium hosts (WPE/Kinsta).

Call tracking beyond WhatConverts (CallRail), BigQuery/advanced reporting.

Tools you’ll touch

WordPress (primary), Framer (light), GTM, GA4, Meta/LinkedIn/TikTok pixels, WhatConverts, SEMrush, GoHighLevel, Looker Studio, PageSpeed Insights, Search Console.

KPIs you’ll own

Conversion accuracy across GA4 + ad platforms (no double fires; consistent counts).

Lead attribution completeness (UTM/GCLID on form & call leads).

Core Web Vitals pass rate on key templates.

Launch velocity for new WP pages/sites and tracking requests.

Actionable reporting: weekly funnel/source updates with clear next steps.
