Commentary YouTube Shorts Editor

We’re looking for a talented YouTube Shorts Editor who can turn commentary scripts and voiceovers into visually engaging, high-retention videos. This role is perfect for an editor who understands pacing, storytelling, and how to make viewers stop scrolling.
You’ll help bring stories to life through clean editing, dynamic visuals, and creative use of captions, sound effects, and motion graphics.
Responsibilities:
Edit 30–60 second YouTube Shorts with smooth pacing and strong storytelling flow.
Add captions, subtitles, ---------- s, and B-roll to keep videos engaging.
Build strong hooks in the opening seconds to capture viewer attention.
Format videos for vertical (9:16) platforms — YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Reels.
Maintain consistency with the channel’s tone, pacing, and brand style.
Stay current with editing trends and viral content formats.
Requirements:
Proven experience editing short-form commentary, storytelling, or reaction videos.
Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.
Excellent sense of timing, pacing, and rhythm.
Ability to integrate text animations, transitions, and motion graphics.
Strong communication skills and attention to deadlines.
Portfolio or sample edits are required — applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of YouTube algorithm and retention optimization.
Experience repurposing long-form videos into Shorts.
Familiarity with documentary-style or commentary YouTube content.
