Position: Conversational AI Data Scientist

We’re looking for a Conversational AI Data Scientist who can design, train, and optimize AI-driven systems that make interactions more human-like, impactful, and seamless.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Data Scientist to serve as our "proof of value" champion - turning our AI capabilities into demonstrable business outcomes. In this role, you will work closely with our product, engineering, and client success teams to design and execute experiments that demonstrate the measurable benefits of our software for call center agents and clients. You will become an expert in our data pipeline, understand the data we collect, identify gaps, and help define what additional data is needed to prove product value.

What You’ll Do:
Core Analytics & Experimentation (60%)
Design and execute rigorous experiments (A/B tests, pre/post analyses, causal inference studies) to quantify the impact of ProtoCall AI on agent performance, customer satisfaction, and business KPIs.
Analyze experimental and operational data using advanced statistical methods to draw actionable insights.
Develop and maintain key metrics that demonstrate product value to clients and internal stakeholders.
Create predictive models to identify which clients will benefit most from specific features.

Data Infrastructure & Pipeline (20%)
Master our data pipeline, understanding streaming call data, real-time metrics, and agent interaction patterns.
Identify data gaps and collaborate with engineering to improve data collection and instrumentation.
Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy requirements for sensitive call recordings.
Write complex SQL queries to extract insights from our multi-tenant data warehouse.

Stakeholder Communication & Impact (20%)
Build executive-ready dashboards and automated reporting for the client success team
Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Create client-facing analytics reports that clearly demonstrate ROI
Work with AI engineering to define model performance metrics and create feedback loops for continuous improvement

Preferred Skills:
Experience with streaming data and real-time analytics systems
Familiarity with call center operations, customer service workflows, or conversational AI
Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with experimentation platforms (Optimizely, Split.io, or similar)
Background in B2B SaaS analytics and client success metrics
JavaScript experience for building custom analytics dashboards
Experience with data privacy regulations and compliance
