We create licensed and trend-driven pop culture lifestyle products for the U.S. market, sold through retailers like Hot Topic, BoxLunch, Spencer’s, REI, airports, and online. Our product categories include accessories, drinkware, stationery, collectibles, blind boxes, and plush.
We are looking for talented graphic/product designers to join our team full-time. You’ll be responsible for taking licensed artwork and style guides to create 2D product mockups for approvals, and then translating those into factory-ready blueprint templates for production.
Responsibilities
Create 2D product mockups (keychains, lanyards, bottles, blind box packaging, etc.) for internal, licensor, and retail presentations.
Convert approved mockups into factory-ready blueprints/templates, including dielines, Pantone color specs, embossing/debossing details, and legal text placement.
Work with licensors to ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and pass approvals.
Collaborate with U.S. sales and sourcing teams to deliver accurate and on-time files.
Stay updated on trends in Japan/China pop culture that influence the U.S. market.
Ensure all designs follow U.S. market standards while being production-ready for factories in Asia.
Requirements:-
Proven experience designing licensed or pop culture merchandise (portfolio required).
Strong ability to create clean, professional 2D mockups in Illustrator/Photoshop.
Experience preparing technical production blueprints with dielines and Pantones.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (PVC, silicone, enamel, stainless steel, packaging).
Attention to detail for legal lines, placements, and factory instructions.
Good communication in English (written) to collaborate with U.S.-based teams.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:-
Experience working with U.S. or Western brands.
Familiarity with pop culture IPs (anime, gaming, entertainment brands).
Ability to interpret style guides and adapt them for merchandise.
Prior work with companies producing for Hot Topic, BoxLunch, Miniso, Uniqlo, etc.
? Design Software
Adobe Illustrator (mandatory for vector art & dielines)
Adobe Photoshop (mockups, textures, effects)
CAD/3D knowledge (optional, bonus for packaging and product accuracy)
? Technical Skills
Pantone color matching & callouts
Setting up dielines, bleed lines, emboss/deboss, printing layers
File formatting for factories (AI, EPS, PDF with outlined fonts, Pantone references)
Experience with multi-material designs: PVC, enamel, silicone, stainless steel, plush, paper goods
? Soft Skills
English communication (for licensor and sales approvals)
Trend awareness (Japan/China to U.S. crossover)
Ability to work remotely & deliver files on deadlines
