JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a full-time Social Media Manager to take charge of several large >Facebook communities. This role goes beyond posting content — we’re looking for someone who can lead strategy, spark engagement, and grow thriving online communities.

Full-time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

This isn’t a side gig. We’re looking for someone ready to own the role, bring fresh ideas, and make things happen — not wait for instructions.

What You’ll Do

Manage multiple >Facebook communities: Oversee day-to-day activity, ensuring each group is active, positive, and engaging.

Create and execute engagement strategies: Plan campaigns, discussion prompts, and content ideas that drive real interaction and value.

Be present and proactive: Respond to posts, comments, and messages — and make sure every member feels seen and heard.

Collaborate with moderators: Support and guide moderators to maintain a consistent tone and high engagement across all communities.

Stay ahead of trends: Research what’s working in other successful groups and social media spaces, then adapt and test new ideas.

Track and analyze performance: Measure engagement, identify what’s working, and continuously optimize community activity.

Handle member onboarding and quality control: Screen new members, uphold community guidelines, and ensure every group remains high-quality and spam-free.

What We’re Looking For

Experience managing >Facebook communities or social media platforms is a plus

Strong understanding of social media strategy, engagement tactics, and online community behavior.

A self-starter who’s proactive, creative, and thrives on taking initiative.

Comfortable multitasking and managing several groups at once.

Reliable internet connection (non-negotiable).

Available full-time during 9 AM – 5 PM PST hours.

How to Apply

To be considered, please include the following with your application:
- Links to the >Facebook communities or social media pages you’ve managed - if any.
- A short 2-minute video explaining your experience and level of involvement in managing Facebook groups.
- A link to your CV/resume.
- And because attention to detail matters — mention your favorite animal somewhere in your application. ????
