Role Overview:
As a Paraplanner, you will play a critical role in supporting Financial Advisers by preparing accurate, compliant, and well-researched suitability reports, conducting product and fund research, and ensuring the efficient delivery of financial planning services to clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who understands financial planning and is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals through strategic advice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse client fact-finds, risk profiles, objectives, and current financial position
* Conduct product, platform, and fund research to identify appropriate solutions
* Produce clear, concise, and compliant suitability reports and financial planning documentation
* Assist with preparation for client review meetings (e.g., valuation reports, review letters)
* Ensure documentation aligns with FCA compliance standards and internal policies
* Liaise with providers for quotations and policy information where needed
* Maintain accurate client records in CRM systems (e.g., Intelligent Office)
* Support ongoing process improvements and contribute to business efficiency
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Previous experience in a Paraplanning or technical support role
Understanding of UK financial products (pensions, investments, protection, IHT planning)
Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to interpret financial information and construct recommendations
Comfortable using financial planning software and MS Office (Word, Excel)
Desirable:
Working knowledge of platforms/tools such as Voyant, Truth, FE Analytics, Dynamic Planner, XPlan, Quilter
Familiarity with Intelligent Office, XPlan or similar CRM systems
Progress towards or completion of CII Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
