About Us
Investor Center is a YouTube channel that breaks down value investing, financial markets, and the philosophies of legendary investors. We make 15–20 minute video essays that actually dig into the details — think less surface-level hot takes, more thoughtful analysis backed by real data.
Our audience isn't looking for clickbait. They want substance, nuance, and good storytelling. We've covered everything from Buffett's approach to capital allocation to how market cycles influence asset prices. The goal is always the same: make complex ideas clear without dumbing them down.
Right now, we're looking to level up our visuals. We want to move past basic whiteboard-style animation and into something more cinematic and information-dense. We need an editor who can take a detailed script and turn it into something that looks as good as it sounds — with layered visuals, smooth pacing, and graphics that actually help tell the story.
That means working with:
• Animated charts, graphs, and data visualizations
• Motion text and strategic overlays
• Smart use of B-roll and archival footage
• Screenshots of articles, financial statements, etc.
• Transitions that underscore key
• Visuals that clarify rather than distract
What You'll Be Doing
• Working autonomously with a provided script; you have creative license to come up with the best visuals
• Editing scripts and voiceovers into polished 15–20 minute videos
• Creating custom motion graphics, data visualizations, and text callouts
• Finding and integrating high-quality B-roll that fits the narrative
• Animating charts and market data to highlight important points
• Weaving in article headlines, quotes, and research seamlessly
• Keeping everything on-brand (consistent color, typography, tone, pacing)
• Handling revisions and hitting deadlines
• Building out a library of reusable visual assets and templates
What We're Looking For
• A solid portfolio of long-form YouTube or educational content (10+ minutes)
• Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalent)
• Experience with data visualization and motion graphics
• Good instincts for pacing and storytelling
• An eye for clean design, color, and typography
• Comfortable hunting down B-roll and relevant visuals
• Strong English comprehension (you'll be working with dense financial scripts)
• Reliable with deadlines and open to feedback
Nice to Have
• Experience editing finance, investing, or economics content
• Familiarity with financial charts, ratios, and macro data
• A pulse on current motion design trends and YouTube pacing
Compensation & How This Works
• Fully remote
• Freelance or retainer arrangement
• Usually 1-4 videos per week (15–20 minutes each)
• Payment via PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer
• All final videos and assets belong to us (licensed B-roll stays with its source)
• We typically do 2 rounds of revisions per video
• Shortlisted candidates will complete a short trial edit (2–3 minutes)
How to Apply
Send us:
1. A link to your portfolio or showreel (long-form work preferred)
2. 1–2 sample videos that show off your editing and data visualization skills
3. A brief note about why you're interested and how you'd approach our style
4. Your rate and availability (hours per week or videos per month)
5. Quick rundown of your editing setup, tools, and internet speed
We're looking for someone who's motivated, detail-oriented, and genuinely excited about making smart financial content look great. If that's you, we'd love to hear from you.
