POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re seeking a talented, upbeat Video Editor to bring Oya’s storytelling to life across Instagram and TikTok. You’ll edit a mix of MXF and mobile media files to produce fun, energetic, and unisex content that celebrates real heroes — both female and male — who embody strength, health, and empowerment.

This is a creative, hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with our CEO and content team to execute Oya’s video content calendar and bring fresh energy to our digital presence. The preferred candidate will work comfortably on Eastern Standard Time (EST) and have a strong understanding of fast-paced social content production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Edit engaging short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, and Stories) using MXF and mobile footage.

Execute the content strategy outlined in our Content Calendar ( ---------- ) and Creative Guidelines ( ---------- ).

Post and schedule content directly on Instagram and TikTok through ----------

Track and report performance metrics weekly (views, engagement, shares).

Adjust editing and posting strategy to improve content performance.

Maintain a consistent visual tone: clean, inspiring, and empowering.

Collaborate with the CEO and content team on creative direction and storylines.

QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experience editing for social media platforms (Reels, TikTok).

Proficient in editing MXF and mobile media files.

Proficiency with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.

Strong grasp of trending sounds, pacing, and storytelling for short-form content.

Reliable and consistent communication during EST working hours.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with quick turnarounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience editing apparel, lifestyle, or fitness content.

Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms.

Has an active social media account with content examples that reflect their style.

Owns a portable power generator or backup system to ensure reliability during outages.

Based in Los Angeles or East Coast for easier collaboration.

PERFORMANCE BONUSES
After 5K+ weekly views on TikTok = bonus

After 5K+ weekly views on Instagram = bonus

A consistently high-performing editor will receive more hours (up to 40 hrs/week) and creative responsibilities.

COMPENSATION
10-20 hours per week initially.

Hourly pay + performance-based bonuses.

Opportunity to scale up to a full-time creative role based on results.
