Virtual Assistant for College Essays & Applications

Job Overview:

I’m seeking a virtual assistant with strong writing skills to support my college-bound student with their college and scholarship application essays. Your role will involve taking rough content and turning it into thoughtful, creative, and well-formatted essays — without using AI tools.

You’ll receive draft content and writing samples from the student to help guide your writing, ensuring authenticity and alignment with her voice and experience.

Responsibilities:

Assist student with brainstorming, refining, and editing application and scholarship essays

Ensure all content is original, non-AI generated, and matches the student’s tone and background

Format essays according to application guidelines

Review and complete scholarship and college application forms with precision (if needed)

Follow specific instructions and meet submission deadlines

Maintain the confidentiality of all student information

Qualifications:

Excellent writing and storytelling skills — you know how to bring out someone's unique voice

Familiarity with college admissions or scholarship application processes

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when completing forms

Ability to take direction and apply feedback

(Bonus) Prior experience helping students with scholarships, grants, or college essays

Pay & Schedule:

Rate: $4- $8 USD/hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Flexible — work when you want, as long as you meet deadlines

Payments: Made via PayPal on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
