Hive Academy is seeking a Curriculum Writer / Material Developer for our Math program, responsible for producing both classroom-based lesson plans and take-home Kumon-style workbooks.
You will design structured, engaging, and progressive materials that help students master math fundamentals and problem-solving skills through interactive class instruction, guided quizzes, and daily home practice.
This is a per-project, deliverable-based freelance position, with ongoing work available for writers who consistently deliver quality and creativity.

Scope of Work
- Each Math division (Primary, Intermediate, Senior) includes Levels 1–3.
Each level requires:
1. Level Test – Diagnostic test with answer key
2. 12-Week Lesson Plan Package – Two lessons per week with teaching objectives, student worksheets, quizzes, and a mastery test
3. Workbook (Kumon-style) – 50–70 pages of progressive drills and exercises with answer key

Responsibilities
- Develop well-structured Math Level Tests, Lesson Plans, and Workbooks following Hive Academy’s curriculum framework.
- Design content supporting both classroom learning and independent practice.
- Integrate principles from Singapore Math, Kumon, and Canadian curriculum outcomes.
- Ensure clear skill progression and measurable mastery indicators per level.
- Include answer keys and teacher notes for all materials.
- Submit in editable Google Docs, ready for layout.
- Apply revisions based on feedback from the Academic Coordinator.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience developing math worksheets, lesson plans, or test prep materials.
- Familiarity with Kumon, Singapore, or Canadian math standards.
- Strong analytical, logical, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and clean formatting.

Preferred:
- Teaching or tutoring background in K–12 Math.
- Experience developing mastery-based or spiral learning programs.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and document formatting.

Payment per approved deliverable:

Deliverable Description Pay Range (PHP)

Level Test 25–40 items + answer key ?1,000–?1,500

Weekly Lesson Plan objectives + quizzes + answer key ?700–?1,000

Full Workbook (per Level) 50–70 pages + answer key ?4,000–?6,000

Complete Level Package 1 Level Test + 12 Lessons + Workbook ?8,000–?10,000

Payments made per approved milestone, with bonuses for quality and timeliness.

Tools & Collaboration
- Work via Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms)
- Weekly or biweekly feedback sessions with the Academic Coordinator
- All materials produced are the intellectual property of Hive Academy
