We are seeking two highly skilled and passionate Math Tutors from the Philippines to deliver online classes to Canadian students (Grades 1–12).

Your classes will help parents in Labrador City experience the kind of academic support not commonly available locally — combining international expertise, structured learning, and motivational teaching.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging small-group online math classes (8–12 students) and occasional 1:1 tutorials as needed.
- Administer diagnostic-level tests and design tailored learning paths for each student.
- Deliver lessons that follow Hive Academy’s structured learning approach, incorporating elements of Singapore Math, Canadian outcomes, and mastery-based progression.
- Provide concise and encouraging feedback reports to parents on progress and next steps.
- Collaborate with the academic team on continuous improvement of materials and instructional delivery.
- Maintain strong communication, energy, and professional presence during all online sessions.

Qualifications
- We’re looking for tutors who combine teaching mastery with a genuine passion for helping students succeed:
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years teaching or tutoring experience in Math for Grades 1–12 (online or in-person).
- Demonstrated familiarity with international curricula (e.g., Singapore Math, Canadian, Common Core).

Professional Skills
- Exceptional ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Strong command of English (spoken and written) and confident camera presence.
- Proven ability to manage small-group online sessions effectively.
- Skilled with Google Workspace, Zoom/Meet, and digital whiteboard tools.
- Must own a digital writing tablet, a reliable 1080p webcam, and high-speed internet (25 Mbps minimum).
- High attention to detail in student tracking, reporting, and follow-up.

Preferred Experience
- Background in Kumon-style mastery learning, Math contest preparation, or adaptive learning methods.
- Experience with Canadian students or familiarity with provincial math outcomes.
- Ability to integrate technology and gamification for motivation and retention.

Work Hours
Teaching Schedule:
Canada (Labrador City Time): 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Mon–Fri)
Philippines Time: approximately 2:00 AM – 5:00 AM or 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM, depending on DST.
Additional teaching blocks may be offered during Canadian school breaks (June–August) when demand increases.

Engagement Type
Independent Contractor (Philippines-based) — not part of Canadian payroll.
Tutors will invoice Hive Academy for teaching hours and related work.
Tutors are responsible for their own tax obligations under Philippine law.
Confidentiality, data protection, and code of conduct adherence are required.
