Social Media Manager – WorkMate Media (UK-based Agency for Tradesmen)

WorkMate Media is a UK-based social media agency that helps tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, scaffolders, and other skilled trades) grow their businesses through professional, on-brand social media management.

We create content that builds trust, educates customers, and generates real leads — not just likes.
Our team is small but growing, and we’re looking for someone reliable and creative to join us remotely from the Philippines.

Role Overview:

You’ll manage and create social media content for multiple trade clients under the WorkMate Media brand.
You’ll work closely with the founder (Callum) to plan, design, and schedule weekly posts, reels, and stories that align with each client’s brand, tone, and content pillars.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and schedule weekly social media posts for multiple clients (mainly in the plumbing, electrical, and construction trades)

Write short, engaging captions in clear UK English (Facebook and Instagram focused)

Design posts and reels using your preferred software (Canva or Adobe Express experience is a bonus)

Manage content calendars and upload plans in Google Sheets / Drive

Use ChatGPT or AI tools to assist with caption generation and idea creation

Communicate regularly with the founder for approvals, updates, and content feedback

Track performance and suggest ideas for improving engagement

Requirements:

Basic video editing skills for Reels (CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Express)

Excellent written English and understanding of UK tone/style

Strong design and layout skills for social media content

Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer, or similar)

Organised and consistent with deadlines


Stable internet connection and reliable working setup

Preferred but Not Essential:

Knowledge of hashtags and trends for Facebook/Instagram

Understanding of trades (construction, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

Experience using AI tools for workflow efficiency

Work Details:

Remote (Philippines-based)


Potential to increase hours and pay as we grow

Reports directly to the Founder

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

Paid monthly via Wise (TransferWise) in PHP

Performance-based bonuses for consistent quality and reliability
