Junior Shopify Developer

About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Shopify Developer to join our growing team at Warren James — a global eCommerce company that powers official merch stores for top YouTube and creator brands.

You’ll collaborate with our US-based developers, designers, and brand managers to build custom Shopify websites that look amazing and perform flawlessly. This role is ideal for someone who loves clean code, creative problem-solving, and wants to grow fast while working from anywhere in the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Developer to create and customize Shopify themes.
- Customize and build responsive Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
- Work with our Creative and Brand teams to translate designs from Figma into polished, user-friendly websites
- Manage assigned development tickets and tasks using Asana / Slack / GitHub
- Optimize store speed, assets, and performance for desktop and mobile
- Troubleshoot and fix theme or integration issues as they arise
- Stay updated on the latest Shopify features and best practices
- Communicate proactively and collaborate across time zones (3–4 hours overlap with US Pacific time)

Technical Skills
- 3–5 years experience in Shopify development and front-end web design
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design
- Familiarity with Shopify Online Store 2.0, metafields, sections, and templates
- Comfortable with Figma hand-offs, design systems, and component-based layouts
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices (meta tags, alt text, structured data)
- Experience optimizing images and code for fast page loads

Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Shopify Plus, custom apps, or Shopify Flow
- Basic design editing skills in Photoshop or Canva
- Familiarity with Klaviyo / Attentive / GA4 setup
- Prior work on creator, influencer, or DTC brand websites
