We’re a high-stakes legal research team working across trust law, securities law, private administrative remedies, arbitration, and mediation. We move fast, operate with precision, and need a detail-driven executor who thrives under accountability.
What You’ll Do
• Own filings, procedural steps, and case documentation end-to-end.
• Track and meet all deadlines; ensure compliance with court/administrative requirements.
• Prepare arbitration/mediation files and exhibits; keep materials organized and audit ready.
• Conduct deep legal research and synthesize findings into clear briefs and memos.
• Complete assigned video-based learning and platform research to master Vlex (our primary research tool), including watching training videos, exploring features, and operationalize the training on current files.
• Maintain a searchable knowledge base (citations, notes, and document trails).
• Support basic bookkeeping for active matters (expense categorization, invoice tracking, retainer/replenishment logs) and maintain up-to-date ledgers.
• Assemble tax packets and evidentiary folders (W-9s, 1099 summaries, reconciliations, receipts, ledgers) and prepare summaries for management for filing/submission.
• Work independently outside scheduled meetings and communicate progress proactively.
What You’ll Bring
• Paralegal certification or proven legal administrative experience.
• Familiarity with filings, case tracking, and procedural documentation.
• Meticulous attention to detail and comfort with strict deadlines.
• Self-directed, highly organized, and effective without close supervision.
• Experience with legal research platforms (Vlex a plus) and a willingness to learn via video modules and hands-on exploration.
• Experience with bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks or Xero) and preparing documents for tax filings.
• Working knowledge of trust-law concepts (secured transactions, lien enforcement, UCC filing/records) or willingness to learn quickly.
