Online Tutor – AP Physics and/or AP Statistics

Location: Remote (Philippines-based applicants preferred)
Compensation: $6–$15 per hour (Based on experience, AP expertise, and qualifications)

About the Role
We are hiring highly specialized Online Tutors to focus on advanced U.S. high school AP STEM courses, specifically AP Physics and AP Statistics. This role is ideal for experienced educators who can effectively guide students through challenging, college-level material and prepare them for success on AP Exams and other standardized tests.

The primary focus will be on:
- AP Physics
- AP Statistics

The ideal candidate is not only an expert in their subject matter but also an engaging, encouraging, and adaptable teacher. You must be able to break down complex physics and statistical concepts, effectively connect with students online, and adjust your teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, interactive, and rigorous lessons in AP Physics and/or AP Statistics (including conceptual understanding and advanced problem-solving).
- Develop personalized lesson plans and practice exercises that strictly align with the AP College Board curriculum and address specific student weaknesses.
- Help students master test-taking strategies for high-stakes exams, focusing on time management, confidence, and the unique requirements of the AP Free-Response Questions.
- Provide regular, constructive feedback and accurately track student progress toward course and exam goals.
- Maintain a positive, motivating, and professional online learning environment.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant STEM field (Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a closely related quantitative field).

Expertise: Demonstrated, expert-level knowledge of the entire curriculum for AP Physics 1, 2, and/or C and/or the entire AP Statistics curriculum.

Experience: Prior tutoring or teaching experience (online preferred), specifically with advanced or AP-level high school students.

Curriculum Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the U.S. high school curriculum and standardized exam structures (SAT/ACT/AP).

Communication: Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written), capable of clearly articulating complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.

Technical & Soft Skills: Comfortable teaching on camera; energetic, engaging, highly student-focused, and possess a reliable internet connection, quiet workspace, and proficiency with online teaching tools (Google Meet, Google Classroom, digital whiteboards, etc.).

Schedule: Flexibility to work during U.S. student hours.

Preferred Skills
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in preparing students for AP Exams (scoring a 4 or 5).

Subject Breadth: Ability to teach multiple advanced subjects (e.g., AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Chemistry, SAT/ACT Math).

Pedagogy: Exceptional ability to simplify complex topics and guide students through challenging problem sets and free-response questions.

Style: Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style to support learners at various levels of proficiency.

Customization: Experience creating customized study and test-prep plans.

Compensation & Schedule
Pay: Starts at $6/Hour depending on expertise and experience. Higher rates are available for tutors with demonstrated AP success, specialized degrees, or proven student results.

Schedule: Part-time, flexible schedule aligned with U.S. student availability.
