JOB OVERVIEW

Job purpose:
To oversee the operations team, providing leadership and support to ensure all aspects of operations are handled efficiently. We need someone with proven project management and people management skills, ideally with experience of e-commerce sector and product sourcing, shipping etc (but not 100% essential).

Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations functions ensuring key milestones and targets are achieved (includes: product research, product development; supplier research & liaison; shipping & logistics; Seller Central account issues)
- Collaborate with Content, Digital Marketing and Creative Managers to ensure cohesive working
- Performance manage Operations team members, assigning and directing work, and reviewing performance
- Ensure that operations systems and processes are developed, documented and continually updated for an efficient operation, primed for scale
- Ensure sufficient and timely flow of management information to seniors according to agreed reporting processes
- Keep abreast of new tools and trends and implement where appropriate to continually improve and optimise operations

Basic requirements
- Reliable and committed
- Excellent English language communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Technical skills: web research, google drive, project management systems
- Ability and willingness to utilize project management and time tracking software

Role-specific requirements
- Proven experience in Operations Manager role or equivalent
- Experience of line management and performance management
- Project Management skills
- Knowledge of e-commerce sector desirable
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
- Ability to take direction as well as work independently
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
